      for School Shows

For the majority of the concerts my musical "sidekick" will be Larry Smith, well-respected guitarist, singer, entertainer, band leader and teacher. A couple of his favourite musical experiences include several years with the internationally successful Glen Bennett children's band and as a member of the official Polkaroo touring band.

                                 or

Jazz guitar legend Chris Norley, who played in all my concerts with the earlier larger group.

The earlier version of the band always consisted of a complement
of some of the finest musicians in SouthWestern Ontario

For the majority of the concerts the musicians were:
Guitar: Chris Norley, jazz musician extrordinaire! His credits include having played with many top names in the music world in Toronto as well as all the best jazz players in the London area, where he is considered by many to be the best at his craft. After each concert Chris is usually faced wth a mob of kids asking all kinds of questions about guitar and music, which he gladly answers in his most friendly and knowledgable manner.

Drums:  "Professor Bob" Hughes, longtime professor of music and percussion specialist at the University of Western Ontario and favourite drummer for several area dance bands. The kids just love him with his bombastic playing  style and infectious grin.

And also In the original group:
string bass: Peter Hysen, one of the most versatile musicians anywhere! He plays many Orchestra London Pops Concerts each season and writes and arranges shows for them as well. Peter has also played with the Windsor Symphony, Toronto Symphony and the Humber College Alumni All Star Big Band.

trumpet and piano: Doug Keenan, jazz musician, writer, arranger, teacher. Doug has been featured with just about every big band jazz group in this area for many years and fronts his own 9-piece Mardi Gras Jazz Band and several other smaller combos.

* According to schedules of the individual musicians the roster may vary,
but in every case the substituting performers are top professionals.
